February 7^th: Personality Pictures – Ed Bolt will be taking personality pictures for PreK-1^st grade on Tuesday, February 7^th.  These pictures will also be used to make our class pictures this school year.  In a couple of weeks, parents will receive an order form with two proofs and four background options.  Parents may also order class pictures in the order form.

February 9^th: Personality Pictures – 5^th Grade and Make-ups

February 9^th: PTO Skate Night – Our elementary PTO will be sponsoring a skate night fundraiser at Star Skate on Thursday, February 9^th, from 6:00-8:00.  All Bethel students are invited to attend.

February 14^th: Face Stickers – Students may purchase face stickers for 25¢ on Tuesday, February 14^th.  Proceeds go to the MS Student Council.

February 14^th: Valentine’s Day Parties - The Lower Elementary School will be having their Valentine’s Day parties on Tuesday, February 14^th.  Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.

February 16^th: Parent/Teacher Conferences - Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 3:00-9:00pm on Thursday, February 16^th.  If a conference has been requested by your child’s teacher, please make every effort to attend a conference.  Please prepare questions and concerns ahead of time to discuss with your child’s teacher.  You are welcome to call the office to schedule a conference.

February 17^th: NO SCHOOL – We will be out of school Friday, February 17^th, due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.

February 20^th: NO SCHOOL – We will be out of school Monday, February 20^th, in honor of President’s Day.

February 22^nd: Petting Zoo – More information to come regarding the Petting Zoo.

February 24^th: PTO Popcorn Friday - Students have the opportunity to buy a bag of popcorn for 50¢ on Friday, February 24^th.  All money is due by 9:00am Friday.

February 28^th: Family Literacy Night – Bethel Elementary is having another Family Literacy Night for PreK-5^th grade students from 6:00-7:30 on Tuesday, February 28^th, in the Lower Cafeteria.  The Upper and Lower Elementaries will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday with face painting, Cat-in-the-Hat hat making, a book exchange, singing, and reading.  Green eggs and ham, Sam-I-Am juice, and birthday cake will be available free of charge.  Food will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  All elementary students and their families and friends are invited to attend our second family literacy night.  Please come in your pajamas and bring a book for the book exchange.

February 29^th: 2^nd Grade Shawnee Rescue Mission Field Trip – The second grade Students of the Month will serve lunch with Mrs. Affentranger at the Shawnee Rescue Mission on Wednesday, February 29^th.  They will also be having lunch at McDonald’s on Harrison Street.  The suburban will leave at 10:40 and return at 1:10.
